Descripción: During that night of fieldwork as a biology student I saw several animals hit by cars, from invertebrates to amphibians and reptiles. It is a well known problem, and I am sadly used to it. But then I saw this little owl (Athene noctua) and when I decided to take a fast photo I realized that its breeding partner was there, calling and flying over the dead owl, trying to understand what happened.
