Descripción: Upside down:
The Brazilian burrowing owls are very similar to the Hungarian screech-owl, but these birds make their own nest in the sandy soil. In order to protect themselves from the predators, their chicks imitate a kind of snake voice. This young owl was hiding in the nest until sunset and when he noticed me, he twisted curiously his head. I have also some bad memories. On the one hand, my hide was surrounded by 50 dangerous buffalos while I was taking photos. (Fortunately, the buffalos have not been there for a long time and went away). On the other hand, I could not start to photograph before 6 pm because of the heat. But I was still very happy to see the first steps of the young owls.
