A renewed MontPhoto kicks off in which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.

MONTPHOTO celebrates its 25th anniversary by adding new categories to its contest

To celebrate its 25 years of history, MontPhoto renews its corporate image and integrates important novelties concerning its commitment.

We know it is time to enhance the importance of stories about nature, that is why we want to show the power of visual storytelling so as to trigger positive and renewal actions for our natural world.

• This year our nature photography contest will have two more awards, one for the best portfolio to reward images of a narrative-documentary nature, and another for “multimedia storytelling” (video) focused on two categories: mountain and nature.
•  MONTPHOTO has announced a photography grant for the conservation of nature endowed with € 6,000 plus the exhibition and publication of the winner's photographs.
•  We are also keeping the award for the best photography in the category "Nature from home" of great success last year and that rewards images captured from homes in these times shaped by confinement and pandemic.

     

March 1, 2021 - MONTPHOTO’s international photography contest has announced the kick off of its 25th edition, which makes it one of the oldest photography contests in our country. For this edition, this festival, which was born in and continues to be held in Lloret de Mar, will add two more awards, one for the best portfolio to reward images of a narrative-documentary nature, and another for “multimedia storytelling” that will award a prize to the best videos in two categories: mountain and nature.

In addition, MONTPHOTO has announced a photography grant for the conservation of nature endowed with € 6,000. This scholarship will reward the most innovative photography and conservation project. In addition to the money, the winner will see their work exhibited and published.

“Both the new categories that we will award and this grant for a conservation project are born from the growing interest and commitment that MONTPHOTO has always had, not only for showing nature, but also for contributing to its conservation through documentary work and active conservation plans. ”, Explains Paco Membrives, one of the founders of the contest.

In addition, MONTPHOTO maintains the award for the best photography in the category "Nature from home" of great success last year and that rewards images captured from homes in these times shaped by confinement and pandemic.

The contest will also award the best photography in the following categories and subcategories:

Mountain activity

Nature

•     Mammals
•     Birds
•     Other animals
•     Plant world
•     Landscape

Underwater world

Ecological report

Art in nature

Those interested in entering the competition may send their work to the contest until 11:59 p.m. of April 30th, 2021.  All awarded photographers will be notified between the months of May and June, although they will not be made public until October, during the celebration of MONTPHOTO’s festival.
