Description: Geranium molle leafs under the ice of a frozen pond. These are formed with prolonged rainfalls in mountain plains. Filamentous algae can grow in them for several weeks. When it freezes, pretty colourful mosaic of fallen leafs form. The lines are fruit of the thawing as the morning temperature increases.

Description: Mount Santiago, originally known as Port of Orduña, in the province of Burgos, is a magnificent beech forest between the Salvada mountain range and the mountain range of Gibijo. I had located these spotted dead nettles (Stachys sylvatica) with the GPS, I was only missing the mist and for the spring to reach all its splendour.

Description: The Montseny massif, declared Natural Park in 1987 and World Biosphere Reserve in 1978, is known among other things for its beech woodlands which in autumn turn red, ochre and yellow. The shot is a fisheye view from the ground of the forest canopy.

Description: A jewel hidden in the subsoil survives the terrifying fire that devasted this forest during the summer. After the autumn rains and with the arrival of the cold weather, an orchid (Orchis italica) re-emerges bright among the pine trees skeletons.

Description: An enormous old Holm oak twisted by the passage of time and the extreme weather conditions of the summits of the mountain range of Grazalema, protects the entry to ‘el Reloj’ (the clock) one of the summits of the mountain range on a crescent-moon night.

Description: At dawn the trees are still covered with snow. During the long exposure I made a small movement with the camera to smoothen the trees and concentrate the attention on how the light accentuates them.

Description: I was searching for autumn landscapes when the rain caught me right in the middle of the beech wood of Milany, the fog rounded up the scenery and for once it occurred to me to look up, I had the feeling these leaves were floating in the fog.
