Ícaro y el sol de Urtzi Vera de Orozko (Bizkaia)
Place: Parque Natural Gorbeia. Alava
Description: Well into the morning the first rays of sunlight start to fall on this hill and this small butterfly starts its morning activity. Continuously flying from one plant to another and resting periods enable to enjoy a short session in which it really seems it is posing. It finally flies away leaving me with a funny smile on my face. (Polyomnatus icarus).

Vida y muerte en el Tinto de Ana Retamero Olmos de Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz)

Description: The picture shows some Common Pond Skaters (Gerris lacustris) sliding over the orange waters of the Tinto River. The fast movements of the couple project odd shadows due to their hydrophobic legs and to the surface tension of the water. It symbolically represents life and death in this river, known for its acid and toxic waters.
