NEWS IN MONTPHOTO 2020 EDITION

Welcome to the 24th edition of MontPhoto contest.

We invite you all to take part in MontPhoto's 2020 Nature Photography contest. Online registration will be open from February 20th until April 30th 11:59 p.m.

We start a new edition and we have made some changes from past editions. The most important are:

• MORE AWARDS IN ALL CATEGORIES
• NEW FAIRER TECHNICAL REGULATIONS.
• OPTIONAL PARTICIPATION FOR IMAGES CERTIFIED BY IRCC

Entrants may be submitted through the website www.montphoto.com, until April 30, 2020, till 11:59 p.m. The jury's decision will be announced on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Awards Ceremony in Lloret de Mar (Girona).

How to enter in MontPhoto 2020

Registrations must be processed on the web:

http://montphoto.com/website/participa.asp.

Participation is exclusively online.

The verification of the raw files will be carried out with the support of the IRCC photographic association and several categories can be freely choose by the participant:

   - GENERAL: General registration is € 25.

   - IRCC CERTIFICATES: Registration for participants with IRCC validation is € 15.

   - YOUNG PEOPLE: Registration for young photographers under 18 is free. It is recommended to send photos already certified, since IRCC is also free for under 18 years.

IRCC CERTIFICATES

Optional enrollment under “IRCC Certificates” entails participation only with photographs certified by IRCC. You can access and register for free at IRCC.photo and use the promotional code “montphoto_2020” (see the “Promotions” section).

* IMPORTANT: You should have in mind that IRCC certifications could be granted to images with crops greater than 35%, which is the maximum allowed in MontPhoto. Take this information into account, and have a backup RAW which can support this, when selecting your IRCC certified photographs.

The payment methods are by Paypal or credit card, following the instructions on the web.

Only photographs captured by digital cameras (mandatory raw file) are accepted.

Each photographer can enter with a maximum of 25 photographs that can be freely distributed among the eleven categories of the contest: Mountain, Mountain Activity, Mammals, Birds, Other Animals, Plant World, Landscape, Underwater World, Macro, Ecological Report and Art in nature.

Awards
MontPhoto 2020 will distribute prizes worth 30,000 euros.

Prize of Honour MontPhoto 2020 Award, consisting of 2,000 euros and diploma.

Prizes for the different contest categories: First prize of 500 euros and diploma, Second prize of 300 euros and diploma and 7 honorable mentions (diploma). Three special prizes, each with an endowment of 300 euros and diploma. Among the young photographers, twelve prizes will be distributed: Six youth prizes of 15-17 years and six children's prizes, up to 14 years, eight photographic experiences and diploma.

The winning photographs are presented in the annual publication, Inspired by Nature 2020 (make sure to book your copy at the time of registration), a traveling exhibition, which will start in Lloret de Mar (Girona) in October 2020.

All winners will receive a copy of the book Inspired by Nature 2020 and will be invited to the Gala Awards as well as a hotel night in a double room accommodation with breakfast included.
