OPEN CALL - SPEAKERS MONTPHOTO FEST 2026

Open call to submit photography, video or hybrid narrative projects in the form of a 20-minute lecture at MontPhoto Fest 2026 — the 30th edition of  the festival, on 2, 3 and 4 October in Lloret de Mar.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

• Any photographer or filmmaker, professional or amateur.
• Priority for MontPhoto members call . External applications are only assessed if there are places left.
• Emerging voices are especially encouraged to participate  — the lack of a consolidated name is not an impediment if the quality is high.

WHAT IS BEING SOUGHT?

• Projects linked to nature, fauna, flora, landscape, conservation or human relationship with the environment.
• Supported formats: photography, video or hybrid proposals.
• Originality, technical quality for large format screens and coherence with MontPhoto ethics (works that disturb living beings are not allowed, except for documentary-reporting purposes).

WHAT DOES THE FESTIVAL OFFER TO THOSE SELECTED?

• 🏨 Accommodation (2 nights: 2 and 3 Oct.) with breakfast for the speaker and a companion.
• 🎟️ 2 Full Pass with full access to the festival (gala, conferences, exhibitions).
• 📢 Inclusion in the official programme and broadcast on all MontPhoto channels.
• 🤝 Direct contact with curators and directors of international festivals.
• ⚠️ Travel is at the expense of the rapporteur.

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Visual and narrative quality
2. Novelty and unprecedented (priority is given to what has not been presented before)
3. Informative value over commercial value (proposals for the promotion of trips or workshops are not accepted)
4. Communicative capacity of the speaker
5. Adaptation to the public of MontPhoto
6. Author's career

CALENDAR

• 13 May 2026 (12:00h) - Opening of the 1st call (priority partners)
• 10 June 2026 (23:59h) - Closing of candidacies
• June 2026 - Resolution and communication
• Oct. 2–4 2026 - Festival Celebration
