Description: Visiting Viladecavalls, I saw a family of wild boars (Sus scrofa) eating some leftovers that some of his neighbours had prepared for cats in the area. I spent some days waiting for the moment the animals would cross the curvy street, and one of those days I was very lucky when a mother decided to cross with her two young boars right above the crossing. The curvy shape of the street reminds me of the meanders of a river.

Description: Silouette of a Mexican climbing salamander (Tarentola mauritanica) with rain in the background. A backlight of this geko on a leave. The climing slamanders are anthropophilic, that is they rather live in buildings and can be seen at night on walls illuminated by street lights as they wait for insects attracted by the light.

Description: I’ve taken this photo in Denali National Park during my trip in Alaska, to reach the spot we had to sleep in the tents in the middle of nothing for kilometers, the mountains in the photo are the ones that surround Mt. Mckinley, the main idea behind the photo it’s the passage from the day, represented by the last lights on the mountains, and the night.

Description: I think the Great Grey Owl (Strix nebulosa) is a very beautiful bird. Owls have big eyes and a very mystical look. I have often dreamed to take good pictures of Great Grey Owl, and that happened in winter 2013. That year, the Owls migrated massively as the food situation in Finaldn was very bad and Southern Finland had plenty of food. The Owls came into sight of the people and preyed during the day. The Owl often sat on a big tree near field. From there it looked at and listened to the sounds of voles and mice.

Description: Full grown osprey (Pandion haliaetus) arrived to the pond early in the morning and showed its skills by capturing a fish with the first hit to the water. This osprey was also very, very quick and it took only below 5 seconds from the hit to water until it was back in flight, holding a large fish in it’s strong talons. I used slow shutter speed, so the movement would show.
