Brian Rajdl is swimming in the largest underground lake in the world so far discovered, located in northern Namibia. The lake lies hidden under the Kalahari Desert, in Dragon’s Breath cave, at a depth of 60 meters. Swimming in this natural reservoir of crystal clear water is a luxury in Namibia – the country that sometimes doesn't see rain 7 years in a row.
We examined the mountain together. We agreed that the line should follow the edge between light and shadow, and that when we reached the ledge sculpted by the wind, the jump would fulfil the dream image. Precision, confidence and technique to the benefit of a shared vision between rider and photographer.
Although days with such like conditions are becoming rarer every year, taking pictures at night with a good dry powder layer is one of the pleasures we enjoy the most. Alex traces the perfect turn. Alongside him, friend and ally, everything flows. Three light bursts freeze an instant that is just for ourselves.
We waited till the day on which the conditions were right for the photo we had envisioned. The descent of this magical waterfall as the snow fell and the forest was transformed into the dreamy setting, with the white trees framing the action. Reaching the site was already a challenge, but getting out of it, even more so. A choreography of nature, action and patience.
Hanging from an ice axe deep within an Icelandic ice cave feels like suspending yourself in the very heart of travel's essence—a journey into the unknown, where beauty and challenge intertwine. Each swing of the axe is a metaphor for the courage it takes to explore beyond the familiar, trusting in the strength of the moment to hold you steady
Night climbing in the Bunker Cave sector. A climbing zone with many routes for climbing, and with spectacular views throughout the day and night. On this occasion I decided to capture in time my friend Carlos just when the galactic centre of the Milky Way was behind him.
A broken riverbed sinks into a dark crevice. A giant sphere blocks the entrance, like a guard. A gorge walker descends, small compared to the rock. Above and below, only gloominess. The land seems to open up into the unknown, and silence envelops everything.
