Place: Massís de Montgrí, Torroella de Montgrí (Girona, Espanya)
Description: This is how this nymph of Conehead Mantis (Empusa pennata) presents itself: young, beautiful and infallible as huntress before its prey. The distance to a Genista in the background illuminated by direct light enabled me to isolate our nymph completely; the fact that it was totally isolated in a spiny branch also helped me.

Description: This photo shows a group of Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) against the setting sun. The snowdrops are underexposed and just appear as a silhouette because of the very bright sun. These plants are often photographed, but I made my own interpretation.

Description: The Greylag Geese (Anser anser) with their small chicks are every year exposed to the danger of cars in the Seewinkel National Park. The road is located between the reed, where the geese nest. It’s a busy zone, but fortunately the drivers are considerate to geese families.

Description: Leaf-less Poplars (Populus sp.) on the banks of the Pancrudo river in Navarrete, Teruel. It was a winter afternoon, and the pictures was taken with the camera in hand, from the base of the trees looking upwards and slightly moving the camera to achieve a blur effect.
