Locked in ice de Norbert Kaszás de Esztergom ()
Place: PN Danubi-Ipoly (Hongria)
Description:

I took this photo of an old man's beard (Clematis vitalba) in the Duna-Ipoly National Park in Hungary. I found this clematis seed frozen in ice during a winter photo shoot. I found it very interesting because of its special shape. Fortunately, I was able to light it from behind, so this picture was taken.

Spring in the rocks de Tobias Richter de Grossschirma (Sachsen)
Place: Sandstone Mountains d'Elba, PN Sächsische Schweiz (Alemanya)
Description:

In addition to the spectacular table mountains, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are characterized by deeply cut gorges, which, with their cool, damp cellar climate, offer ideal conditions for a variety of mosses, lichens and ferns. At the beginning of April, the first fresh green and the blossoming wood sorrel (Oxalis acetosella) appears on the rock walls of these gorges and stand out clearly against the dark sandstone.

Punto y línea sobre plano de Rodrigo Núñez Buj de Llanes (ASTURIAS)
Place: Cañamares (Espanya)
Description:

A moment of visual harmony and compositional tension in the wicker fields (Salix viminalis) of Cañamares in autumn. The strip of white flowers, suspended in the upper third, introduces the ‘dot’ element in this visual language, breaking the chromatic rhythm. The evening light accentuates the contrast between planes and volumes. It suggests an abstract reflection on colour, rhythm and structure.

Shapes de Rupert Kogler de Gallneukirchen (Upper Austria)
Place: Parc Nacional Tresticklan (Suècia)
Description:

The fascinating details of scandinavian landscapes are sheer endless and the appearance of water lilies (Nymphaeaceae), which emerge from the dark waters of a Swedish lake is just wonderful. The rather harsh sun in the evening just increased the contrast between the plants and the dark water. The contrast regarding the completely different shapes of the water lilies and the grass affected me even more.

Natural Artistry de Mauro Tronto de Porto Recanati (MC)
Place: Romania
Description:

An elegant visual illusion, a subtle play between reality and reflection. At first glance, it appears to be a suspended forest, an upside-down world where bare tree trunks rise downward, defying gravity. But it is in the water, calm as a mirror, that this scene lives: the reflections of lifeless trees emerge from an invisible surface, turning a simple body of water into a threshold between worlds.

Blowing Wind de Mauro Tronto de Porto Recanati (MC)
Place: Canfaito (Itàlia)
Description:

This image was taken in the Canfaito forest, located in the Sibillini Mountains in the Marche region of Italy. At the center stands an ancient monumental beech tree (Fagus sylvatica), surrounded by other trees shrouded in mist. The bright green foliage sways in the wind, creating a sense of movement that brings the scene to life. The atmosphere is magical, almost fairytale-like, with the fog adding mystery and depth.

Pinceladas primaverales de Iñaki Larrea de Ilzarbe (Navarra)
Place: Aralar, Navarra (Espanya)

With a mixture of lighting and movement techniques I managed to create a painterly effect to enhance the greenness of the first leaves of the beech trees (Fagus sylvatica).
