Desfile en Blanco de Arturo de Frias Marques de Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid)
Place: Peninsula Antártica
Description: The marches of thousands of penguins to feed their chicks leaves long and clear trails in the snow. Observing them walking back and forth is one of the most tender and natural events that can be seen in the Antarctic Peninsula. I have raised the exposure by three in this picture in order to enhance the whiteness of the environment and obtain a minimalist atmosphere, in which the dark tones of the GENTOO PENGUIN (Pygoscelis papua) create a nice contrast.

White ladies de Mateusz Piesiak de Wroclaw ()
Place: Lower Silesia - Poland
Description: One day I went to a drained lake to photograph birds two hours before sunrise. The lake was covered by one of the thickest fogs I've ever seen. I wandered through the mud in rubber shoes not knowing where I was going at all. After a few hundred meters I built myself a shelter and jumped inside. Time was passing by and there was not a single bird to be seen. But suddenly I saw some shapes emerging from the fog - these white ladies. GREAT WHITE EGRET (Ardea alba)

Futura madre de Jaime Culebras de Cáceres (Cáceres)
Place: Reserva Jardín de los Sueños, Ecuador
Description: I was following this Anthony nightjar (Nyctidromus anthonyi) for some days, watching where it was going and where it was coming from to get some rest. The space seen around it in the picture might as well be its future nest. Almost without removing anything, it will lay eggs that will remain hidden thanks to its perfect camouflage. The famous "blue hour" was the ideal time to photograph this wonderful bird in the Ecuadorian Chocó, which suffers one of the most intense devastations in the world.
