Un mundo por descubrir de Andrés Miguel Domínguez Romero de Ubrique (Cadis)
Place: Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema - Cádiz - España
Description: Baby red spider mites (Tetranychus urticae) on their web, which covered two GORSE (Ulex parviflorus funkii (= baeticus)) with more than 4 square meters of surface. Millions of these little mites restlessly moved on it. The light, filtered between cork trees and thebig spider web, made me choose this perspective.

ice River de Zsila Sándor de Budapest ()
Place: Budapest
Description: Sometimes, in Budapest, the temperature remains at -8 or -9 °C for a longer period of time. The last time it happened was January 2011 and it has not happened again since then. We have a small building in our garden, and due to the cold, ice flowers grew on its windows. I illuminated both of them and the background with lamps to obtain the expected result.

Steel Hunting de Zsila Sándor de Budapest ()
Place: Bükki National Park, Hungary
Description: I was hiking in a forest with my friends. The spring rain filled up the cavities of the forest. In one of them, a lot of water striders (Gerris sp.) were hunting. We lay down in the mud to take pictures of them. A lot of patience was needed because they were mooving fast and constantly getting out of focus.

Control de plagas de Jaime Culebras de Cáceres (Cáceres)

Always near the water, they jump among the leaves of the trees on shore looking for something to eat, and makes them, like most of the amphibians, important regulators of the insect population. This WHITE-SPOTTED GLASS FROG (Sachatamia albomaculata) was feasting with flying ants prowling around my flashlight.
