Descripción: An Atlantic puffin makes its way seemingly through a tropical forest on Skomer Island, in Wales. It was trying to find its nesting hole, hidden by the dense vegetation, with a beak full of fish to feed its young. As it ducked through a patch of bracken, in the pouring rain, I was able to capture this beautiful moment.

Descripción: Last year due to a high water level a giant field of sunflowers could not been mown. In winter it attracted thousands of different species of birds, mostly greenfinches, goldfinches and bramblings. I decided to photograph them from their perspective. For this, I used a wide-angle lens, masked it with snow and dried sunflowers, and I left away with a remote trigger in my hand.

Descripción: Whooper swans at the edge of Lake Kussharo, where hot water from a natural hot spring flows in. The steam rises up and covers the whole scene in a mystical mood. Although not breeding on Hokkaido, whooper swans come here for overwintering.

Fight for an apple de Oliver Richter de Grimma ()
Lugar: Germany, Saxony
Descripción: Old orchards are very valuable. In winter the birds can still find apples. Here the blackbird and the fieldfare measure their strength. There are many apples left. Even so, there are sometimes disput or fight between fieldfare and blackbird. The birds take to the air for a few seconds. It's a harmless fight. No one is harmed. After the short dispu the birds continue to eat side by side.

Descripción: Dos araos observan asombrados el cielo. En muchas ocasiones se puede observar a los araos en los acantilados, donde suelen secarse el plumaje después de haberse sumergido en el mar para pescar. Fotografía realizada en una única exposición y efectos creados mediante la modificación de entrada de la luz en el objetivo. Especie: Arao, Guillemot, Uria aalge.

Descripción: Tres zarapitos trinadores durante el paso migratorio de primavera se preparan para pasar la noche en una playa urbana del Norte de España. Debido a la poca luz que había, pude reptar hacia ellos sin que notasen mi presencia hasta buscar un sitio, lo suficientemente cómodo, entre las rocas para conseguir un encuadre que mostrase al trío con los flares de las luces de la ciudad.
