El Baile de las Aguas de Peter Manschot de Granada ()
Place: Riu Tinto (Espanya)
Description: An interesting effect achieved with long exposure during a sunset in June. The foamy water was moving around in circles as if its drops were considering whether to flow toward the sea or just stay …

Chorros fluviales de Alfonso Moreno Gomez de Marbella (Malaga)
Place: Sud d'Islàndia
Description: Little river mouth in the South of Iceland. A different level of density, salinity and sediment shapes the river arbitrarily, with its streams forming braids and entering the sea through the little holes it finds.

God's Power de Leonardo Papèra de Calavorno (LU)
Place: Dettifoss (Islàndia)
Description: Being in front of the Dettifoss waterfall and its power is an amazing experience and hard to transmit through pictures and words. In this image I tried to capture an instant of that brutal force, removing everything but water from the frame and focusing on the real star of the scene - Dettifoss!

Sharp Ice de Stephan Fürnrohr de Kallmünz (Bavaria)
Place: Uummannaq (Grenlàndia)
Description: In the summer of 2018, I went on a trip in the area of Uummannaq (North Greenland) to document signs of climate change in this area. On our way to a very special glacier, we found this iceberg. It was one of those rare icebergs with translucent blue ice mixed with darker ice. It was a bright, sunny day and the iceberg was therefore melting quickly, which showed even more bizarre shapes.

Dragon de Juan Jesus Gonzalez Ahumada de Ojén (Màlaga)
Place: Urb. Sierra Blanca, Marbella (Màlaga)
Description: This weird eye looking at you might remind you of a reptile. But it has nothing to do with wildlife. It is a growing Agave (Agave sp.) leave that falls because of its weight and wounds the plant creating this crevasse. With a bit of imagination and creativity, I moved a leaf showing a dot that would serve as an iris that was placed underneath it to make up an imaginary eye.

Trapped de Andrea Pozzi de Bormio (Italia)
Place: Llac Baikal, Sibèria (Rússia)
Description: A small Sculpin (Cottidae) trapped in the ice of Lake Baikal turns into a piece of art, as an insect in amber. Winter temperatures in this area can reach -40°C in January, and it is almost surreal to think of the dynamics that led this small animal to an almost absurd death.

Experiencias visuales de Juan Tapia de Roquetas de mar (Almeria)
Place: Riu Tinto (Huelva)
Description: Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon which is quite trendy in modern photography through which our brain seeks real references when confronted with something abstract. In my case, I saw a mix between a bird and a “hero”, a “superman”, but each one of us might have had a different visual experience.

Mirada de hielo de Alfonso Moreno Gomez de Marbella (Malaga)
Place: Sud d'Islàndia
Description: Picture taken from a very low position showing an icy shape at a little glacier lagoon in the south of Iceland. With time, the rocks and the ice have shaped it like a human face.

River Painting de Uwe Hasubek de Hamburg ()
Place: Islàndia
Description: Iceland is very well known by photographers. There are places where you think nothing is special if you take pictures from the ground. But if you fly with a drone you will explore the incredible beauty of abstract painting. Yellow water and black lava sand are the ingredients of this painting.
