Description: When we woke up in the hostel in the morning, we realised that the weather forecast was not looking any good to go skiing. It was pouring down and the clouds were low. However, we decided to reach the top of the volcano, and once we got past the clouds, the sun was shining and we were able to enjoy a wonderful skiing day.

Place: Tamadaba, Gran Canària (Espanya)
Description: Tamadaba is a unique place, with cliffs of over a thousand metres high. They raise above the sea and increase the feeling of vertigo when standing on them. In this picture, a fantastic 200-metre long and 200-metre high highland can be seen with Tenerife in the background.

Description: Descend of one of Spain’s most beautiful, technical and rocky cliffs, located in the Alpujarras, in Granada. The high levels of minerals in its water offers this mesmerising reddish-orange tone which makes it even more beautiful, if possible at all.

Description: The charm of what is close to us; “little”mountains, those below 1200 metres, that turn into something completely different depending on the weather conditions, especially when the winter arrives by showing its strength. A heavy snowfall and a walk through a beech forest, where the weight of the snow made the branches of the tree drop along our path.

Description: Climbing the ice of a glacier is like climbing a huge piece of glass: it breaks as you hit it. That was the challenge in our expedition. I had an additional one: translate all of it into pictures. The interior of a glacier is always dark, and given that the Islandic winter doesn’t make it any lighter, I was forced to illuminate the scene with various flashes while trying to keep the natural light. The cold also gave some battery-related headaches.

Description: While we were waiting for the night to fall on the Montardo summit, we saw this crest. I liked the way it looked, with a view of the Restanca basin, the Lac the Mar and the Besiberris crest in the background, so we decided to take some pictures. In this one, I tried to show what we feel when we run through these mountains.

Description: The Grieta (The Crevisse) is a strange place in the heart of La Pedriza. It is an old stone quarry from where the much valued granite from Guadarrama is extracted. What used to be an area only locals knew about has turned into a summer shelter for climbers. In this picture, “El Potro” climbs RqueR, his making.
