Masai Mara sky de Jose Fragozo de Tavira ()

Blue hour at Dyrhólaey de Gheorghe Popa de Aiud (Alba)
Place: Vik (Islàndia)
Description: I spent two incredible hours at Dyrhólaey, the southernmost point in mainland Iceland, in October 2015. It was very impressive, and today it still remains the most beautiful “blue hour” I have ever seen.

Deadvlei de Tomasz Szpila de Bulowice (Lesser Poland)
Place: Deadvlei, Namib (Namíbia)
Description: Dry trees photographed under the early morning sun with dunes in the background. These dunes surround the dead valley of Deadvlei in Namibia. Several hundred years ago, the valley was overgrown with acacias, but the river, which supplied it with water, changed its course, which led to the mortification of the trees.

Mono Lake de Marc Steichen de Platen ()
Place: Califòrnia (EUA)
Description: Mono Lake is an alkaline soda lake in California. It is a closed lake, meaning that water does not flow out of the lake. Water can only escape the surface if it evaporates or is lost to groundwater. The high salinity provokes the formation of tufa columns which give this place an "extraterrestrial" look. This photo was taken some minutes after sunset to show the surreal atmosphere at Mono Lake.

Lençóis maranhenses de Ignacio Palacios de Kiama (NSW)
Place: Brasil
Description: Aerial picture taken at the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in the North of Brazil. A little palm tree grows and survives in an area where you would never imagine it to: a sea of sand dunes.

The one de Andrea Pozzi de Bormio (Italia)
Place: Atchafalaya Bay, Louisiana (EUA)
Description: Louisiana's swamps are some of the most primeval places still existing in the USA, home to a multitude of bird species, turtles, alligators, poisonous snakes, spiders and so on. The first light hitting the Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides), hanging from the Bald cypresses (Taxodium distichum), turned the landscape into a fairy tale.

Frozen Plan de Mauro Tronto de ANCONA (Italia)
Place: Castelluccio de Norcia (Itàlia)
Description: There are moments in which you feel the call in certain places: it is something indefinable, impalpable, that pushes you to go to savor once again that sense of profound well-being that you receive when in contact with it.

Melting de Iñaki Bolumburu Echeandía de Salvatierra-Agurain (Álava / Araba)
Place: Jökulsárlón (Islàndia)
Description: Glacier caves are shaped by the water that runs through - or underneath - them, originating from melting water. That happened in the Jökulsárlón cave in Iceland. Climate change is speeding up the meltdown of glaciers on Iceland and it is quite clear to see the difference between the ice mass in only one year of time.

Taïga de David Allemand de Puget sur Durance (França)
Place: Finlàndia
Description: I was in Finland in winter at the top of a mountain. All the trees were covered by snow and ice. They were fantastic, looking like statues . I was waiting for the sunset to take a picture against the sun to get this magical light.
