We are used to being fascinated by the spectacular sunrises and sunsets of the Ebro delta, where the sun is the main attraction, and few people look in the opposite direction. A view that is sometimes tinged with pastel colours due to this atmospheric phenomenon called the Venus Belt. A Little egret (Egretta garzetta) takes the chance to hunt its dinner with this natural phenomenon in the background.

Night comes and an unexpected visitor arrives to our garden at home. The giant toad (Bufo spinosus), measuring over 13 cm, is the largest toad in Europe. Although toads are popularly frowned upon by society, they are harmless species with an important role in the environment, so it is a privilege to have individuals like this one in our ecosystem.
Lloret de Mar is not only beautiful scenery, sun and beach, but also full of wildlife that coexists with us every day.
